L' Oro l' ha conquistato Alexandra Engen, argento alla rossocrociata Kathrin Stirnemann, distanzaiata di 34'' e medaglia di bronzo a una nonstra conoscenza, la slovena Tanja Zakelj che corre spesso in Italia. Le azzurre: 10ª Julia Innerhofer e 16ª Serena Calvetti.
La seconda gara della giornata ha visto al via gli under 23 abbiamo sentito altre due volte suonare l' inno della Svizzera, al termine dei sei giri in 1 ora 52' 01'' ha conquisto l' oro Matthias Fluckiger, secondo a 2' 28'' l' olandese Niels Wubben e bronzo ancora ai rossocrociati con Patrick Gallati.
